Burnham-on-Sea is great for kitesurfing and is a popular sea side town in Somerset, based at the mouth of the River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay. The town’s signature is its collection of lighthouses, including the Round Tower lighthouse of 1829, the Pillar Lighthouse and the Lighthouse on legs! During the summer months it offers a great location to kitesurf at high tide, with the option of power kiting when the tide is out. Due to limited access, it’s not recommended for larger groups.
Directions to Bunham On Sea
Leave M5 at Jct 22, following the signs for the town centre. Veer right onto Berrow Road at the mini round about by the garage (second exit). Once on Berrow Road, the turning for Poplar Road is the fifth turning on the left. We try and park close to the sea wall, though this is a residential area, so please do not obstruct the driveways of residents.
ALL KITESURFING LESSONS ARE TAUGHT NORTH OF BURNHAM PIER.
