The Downs is perfect for power kiting. It’s an amazing area of greenland, just on the edge of the vibrant city life.
Between them, Clifton and Durdham Downs make up more than 400 acres of grassland stretching from the very cliffs of the Avon Gorge to the edges of the Victorian-built suburbs. Excellent for kiting!

Directions to the Downs

Come off at Junction 17 on the M5, and Take the A4018. Stay on this road for aout 5 miles, passing the edge of Cribbs Causeway (The Mall), running through Westbury on Trym until you meet the Downs. Once you’re at the edge of the Downs turn right at the first roundabout onto the B4054 then the first left onto Saville Road. Turn left at the lights and meet us in front of the coffee shop at the left of the Water Tower on Stokes Road.
