At Blown Away Kite School we offer courses at a variety of locations. This enables us to tailor our courses to your needs, and helps us guarantee the best possible conditions for you to learn in.
We run courses from the South West, starting at Burnham-On-Sea and Weston-Super-Mare up to Porthcawl on the South Wales Coast.
This allows us to select the best wind and wave conditions, minimising the impact of tides, and also your travel time!

Porthcawl, South Wales
Porthcawl in South Wales is great for lessons in kitesurfing, buggying, landboarding and power kiting.
Situated between Cardiff and Swansea, and just a few miles from the M4, Porthcawl is ideally located for visitors to gain easy access to all main towns, cities and coastal areas. Porthcawl is a popular destination for surfers too due to bigger wave conditions. We run kitesurfing lessons at either Rest Bay or Coney Beach depending on wind conditions. Check them out!

Durdham Downs, Bristol
The Downs is perfect for power kiting. It’s an amazing area of greenland, just on the edge of the vibrant city life.
Between them, Clifton and Durdham Downs make up more than 400 acres of grassland stretching from the very cliffs of the Avon Gorge to the edges of the Victorian-built suburbs. Excellent for kiting!

Weston-Super-Mare
Weston-Super-Mare is a popular tourist destination and is great for kitesurfing, power kiting, landboarding, and buggying. With attractions such as it’s long sandy beach, the world’s largest dedicated helicopter collection at the Helicopter Museum, North Somerset Museum, the Grand Pier, the SeaQuarium aquarium and the recently opened Weston Eye. We can run any of our kitesurfing courses here, though it is particularly suited to landboarding and buggying lessons with its dedicated ‘fly zone’.

Burnham-On-Sea
During the summer months Burnham On Sea offers a great location to kitesurf when the tide’s in, with the option of power kiting when the tide is out. Due to limited access, it’s not recommended for larger groups. Burnham-on-Sea is a popular sea side town in Somerset, based at the mouth of the River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay. The town’s signature is its collection of lighthouses, including the Round Tower lighthouse of 1829, the Pillar Lighthouse and the Lighthouse on legs! This beach is not suitable for Landboarding or Buggying.
