Lesson Voucher and Booking Terms and Conditions
VOUCHERS IN DATE
Vouchers purchased by phone or through the website are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase (unless otherwise stated) and are subject to our terms and conditions. Vouchers must should be treated like cash. They can not be replaced if lost or stolen. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Vouchers which are defaced, altered or cancelled will not be accepted. Vouchers may be exchanged for lessons of a equal or higher price to the current lesson value, subject to the difference being paid.
VOUCHERS NEARING THEIR EXPIRY DATE
If you have a voucher nearing it’s expiry date but you can not book your lesson within the 12 month validity period for any reason, you can extend any such voucher for £50 per person – per days tuition. Upon receipt of your extension payment, a new voucher will be given, valid until the end of the current season (Normally the end of the following September). The old voucher will remain VOID.
EXPIRED VOUCHERS
Vouchers that are have expired can not be booked under any circumstances.
BOOKINGS
To book your lesson please view our calendar online, see what dates are showing availability and then call us on 0845 269 4093 or email us at info@blownawaykiteschool.co.uk. It is the responsibility of the student to book and complete the course within the validity period.
UNDER 18s
If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present at all times. Participation by the parent or guardian is not required.
TRANSPORT
For all courses some form of transport (other than public transport) must be available in order to get to other locations if required. If the student is unable to get to another location, the voucher or payment for that course becomes null and void.
CANCELLATION BY BLOWN AWAY KITESCHOOL
In the event of a lesson being cancelled by Blown Away Kiteschool, the customer may rebook at a later date within the validity period of the lesson voucher. We will only cancel if it is unsafe to do your lesson due to poor weather. Being a weather dependent sport, this does happen occasionally, though be assured we will rearrange your lesson as soon as possible.
CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
Lessons cancelled by the customer over 7 days before the lesson remain valid and may be rebooked at the next available date withing the lesson vouchers validity period.Cancellations made by the customer within 7 days of the booked date will make your lesson voucher and full payment null and void.
Customers MUST cancel any lesson in writing by emailing us on info@blownawaykiteschool.co.uk – This way you have written evidence of your cancellation, minimising any lost messages or confusion. You will recieve an auto reply if you have emailed the correct address as listed.
Should you not receive a reply from us, please follow this up again and phone us on 0845 2694093.
Any cancellation not recieved due to spam filters or incorrect email addresses entered by the customer, means the customer remains liable for their lesson, and the customer will loose their lesson entitlement. We are not flexible on this.
ABANDONED COURSES
In the event of a course being abandoned, you will be offered the outstanding time at a future date within the twelve month period.
MISSED BOOKINGS
In the event of a booked course being missed, the voucher or payment for that course becomes null or void. No refunds or cancellation procedures may apply. Any attempts to re-use a cancelled voucher will be rejected.
MISCELLANEOUS
Blown Away Kite School will provide necessary insurance, tuition and all equipment required to undertake the course effectively and safely. Please be fully aware that all courses are weather dependent and that this may adversely affect your course. The decision to cancel due to compromised safety or adverse weather conditions rests solely with the instructor on the day. It is the responsibility of the customer to re-book the lesson within the original twelve month period.
Students must be aware that power kite sports are potentially dangerous and are undertaken entirely at the students own risk. By booking a lesson the student confirms that he/she has read, understood and accepts these booking conditions.
REFUNDS
In the event that the wrong voucher is purchased, contact us within 24hrs and we will issue a full refund as soon as possible. In all other cases we can not issue refunds based on lesson cancellations or missed lessons for example. Lessons are only cancelled by Blown Away Kite School as a last resort for the participants’ own safety, and normally due to adverse weather conditions. This is part of the experience of kiting and effects us all. We will endeavour to reschedule your lesson at the soonest possible opportunity.
SUPERVISED LESSONS
During our supervised lessons we only provide our Headzone radio helmets, and buoyancy aids to students. We do not provide any other kit, kites nor boards. Should students need a different sized kite, or any other piece of equipment, this will be provided at an additional cost of 15 pounds per hour for the full duration of the lesson. This is payable in cash only as credit facilites are not available at the beach. Should you not have a kite deemed safe for your lesson we will refuse your instruction and you will loose your lesson entitlement. Likewise, if you fail to provide evidence of your previous training to IKO Level 3 J or above, or the instructor in charge feels you do not have the necessary skill and safety awareness the lesson will be terminated.
By buying any lesson voucher from the school you agree that you accept these terms and conditions.
